Macphie Demi-Glace Sauce is a rich concentrated brown stock that is carefully reduced until it forms a deep meaty flavored glaze. This intensely flavoured reduction is used as a base for producing wonderful, rich, velvety sauces, stews and soups. Unlike powders or pastes, absolutely no proparation is required. It is an instant base for dozens of classic, everyday sauces and is tolerant to a range of additional ingredients with guaranteed consistency.

If you are going to make any classic brown sauce, such as  Diane, Madeira, Onion and Bordelaise, this high quality Demi-Glace is the perfect starting point. Unlike scratch recipes, it won't lump, curdle or split when heated. Microwaveable, bain-marie and freeze-thaw stable. A store cupboard essential, unopened it has a long shelf-life. Once opened, refrigerate and use within 7 days. Available in 12 x 1 litre, 10 litre and 25 litre packs.
