Macphie has been shortlisted for a Scottish Rural Award in the Rural Employer category.
The Scottish Rural Awards, partnered by Scottish Field magazine and the Scottish Countryside Alliance, are the ultimate benchmark of excellence in rural Scotland. The event celebrates the true industry, innovation, dedication and community spirit of those who live and work in the Scottish countryside. This year’s award ceremony takes place on Thursday 16th March 2017 at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh.
The Rural Employer Award aims to reward a business which successfully develops a strategy promoting itself as an employer of choice. Heather Hannam, head of HR at Macphie said, “It’s an honour for Macphie to be considered for this award. Our employees are at the forefront of our business strategy and we have a number of initiatives to attract, retain, develop and reward our teams. With a growing number of employees, we acknowledge our responsibilities as a rural employer and over the next 18 months we are placing a bigger focus on employee engagement to maintain a strong workplace community.
“After 89 years, we are proud to be the UK’s leading, independent manufacturer of added-value food ingredients with a passionate and motivated team invested in the growth of the business.”
