Macphie news | Macphie team pedal for Scotland

On Sunday 11th September, a team of Macphie employees took on Pedal for Scotland, a 45 mile cycling challenge from Glasgow to Edinburgh.

The team of 13 embarked on the gruelling challenge to raise funds for St. Andrews Hospice and have already raised £1845 for the independent charity which provides care for those living with life threatening illnesses.

William Carlyle from Macphie commented, “It was a feat of will-power for a few of us and we got each other through it. All in all, I think we’d do it again so hopefully it’ll be a regular thing. It was a great achievement for everyone who took part.”

Macphie supported the team by funding the entrance fees and will also be supporting another group of Macphie employees who are taking part in The Beast Race, a 10km muddy obstacle race, to raise money for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland on Saturday 24th September .
