Chilli Con Carne
Ingredients:
1 litre Macphie Demi-Glace Sauce
1kg Minced Beef
2x400g Cans Chopped Tomatoes
450g Red Kidney Beans - drained
200g Onion - chopped
200g Green Pepper - diced
60g Chilli Powder
60g Tomato Purée
2 Cloves of Garlic - crushed
Method:
Lightly fry onions and garlic in a pan in a little oil
Add the minced beef, cook until brown
Stir in tomatoes, tomato purée, chilli powder and Macphie Demi-Glace Sauce
Simmer gently for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally, add kidney beans and green peppers
Cook for a further 10 minutes
Serve with rice, baked potatoes or taco shells with a dollop of sour cream
