Method

  1. In a machine bowl fitted with a paddle, add the egg and Macphie Chocolate Crème Cake Mix and beat for 1 minute on slow speed and 3 minutes on medium speed.

  2. Add the oil and water and mix for 1 minute on slow speed. Scrape down and mix for a further 3 minutes on slow speed

  3. Deposit into a rectangular tray and bake for 40-50 minutes at 180ºC (355ºF).

  4. Once cooled, slice horizontally to create thin layers of cake.

  5. Taking 4 layers, sandwich with a thin layer of Macphie Chocolate Frosting and finish on top with Macphie 5th Avenue® Chocolate Icing.
