Method

  • Serves one.

    Layer the first slice of bread with ham, 50g Bechamel, pepper and 50g cheese.

    Top with a slice of bread and repeat. Top with the final slice of bread and remaining Bechamel and cheese.

    Bake in the oven at 180°C (360°F) for five minutes then finish under grill until cheese has melted and glazed.

  • 150g Macphie Bechamel sauce
  • two slices ham
  • 150g Cheddar cheese
  • three slices bread
  • pinch pepper
