Method

  1. Make up both recipes (plain and chocolate) in separate bowls following the below instructions:

  2. Place the powder mix in a mixer fitted with a beater and add the liquids.

  3. Mix on slow speed for 1 minute, scrape down well.

  4. Mix on middle speed for 6 minutes.

  5. Deposit 200g of each alternative batter into a loaf tin and then gently swirl a palette knife through to marble.

  6. Bake at 180°C for 40 – 50 minutes.
