Success at helping it happen awards - Macphie

There were celebrations this week as Macphie was named runner-up in the rural business category at the Scottish Land and Estates Helping it Happen Awards.

Macphie was up against strong competition with the trophy being awarded to joint winners Luss Estate and Drimmin Estate who were both commended for making significant enhancements in their communities to benefit future generations.

Heather Hannam, Head of HR at Macphie, said, “We are delighted to be recognised in this category and pride ourselves on the important role we play in the local community as a rural employer. Our employees are at the heart of everything we do at Macphie and this award reflects their passion and commitment.”

Scottish Land and Estates launched the inaugural Helping it Happen Awards, sponsored by The McRobert Trust, to recognise landowners and rural businesses that play a key role in enabling and supporting success in rural areas. Businesses were assessed on the impact their company has had on their local areas.

Hosted by former Scotland and Lions player Doddie Weir, the ceremony was an evening of recognition for rural businesses across Scotland.
