Planning administrator (maternity cover)

We are looking for a Planning administrator to join the planning team here at Glenbervie, providing maternity cover over a 12-month period. This is a busy, fast paced role which requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative as well as working effectively as part of a team.

The role

The role involves working as part of a small team, providing support with day-to-day activities within the planning team.

Some of your tasks would include, but are not limited to:

  • Assess the Raw Material, Packaging and Factored products demand and place the appropriate Purchase Orders. Expediting when necessary to ensure timely delivery.
  • Liaise with the Suppliers and nominated Hauliers to ensure the paperwork is completed to support Customs Clearance of imported goods.
  • Report the Supplier performance into the SPER function by raising a Business Activity or a Non-Conformance Report as appropriate.
  • Ensure Suppliers are made aware of any operational or demand issues that may affect or impact their Supply to us. Enlisting the support of the Purchasing Department when required.
  • Monitor short shelf-life Raw Materials used in RTE products and action as appropriate.
  • Liaise with Stores and Operations Team Leaders with regards any internal stock movements that are required to ensure accurate system data.
  • Liaise with the Buyers and R&D on co-ordination of supply of new Materials or Packaging as a result of development projects for new products. Setting an appropriate Safety Stock level on the system.
  • In conjunction with the Planning Team review Safety Stock Levels for Raw Materials, Packaging and Consumables and update as required.
  • Review Slow & Non-Moving RM’s & Packaging, update IFS accordingly and highlight any issues to the Planning Manager.
  • When Finished Goods IP’s have been identified for Delist, run out any associated Raw Materials & Packaging as appropriate and report any issues accordingly.

The person

The ideal candidate will be a motivated and resourceful individual who displays a positive attitude and has the ability to work well as an individual but also be very much a team player.  The person we hire will be an excellent communicator at all levels.  They will be someone with a keen eye for detail who is able to prioritise a busy workload and react quickly to a changing situation.
