Macphie has appointed a new Technical Director to its Board.

Mark has been with Macphie since 1995 and has undertaken various roles in the business. He joined as Glenbervie Quality Assurance Manager, moving on to the Head of Quality and Regulatory Affairs, across Glenbervie and Tannochside, before taking up his current role of Head of Glenbervie Operations.

A graduate of Nottingham Trent University, Mark previously worked for Daylay Foods, Kellogg Company in Australia and Scotch Premier Meats before moving to join Macphie.

Managing Director Andy Underwood said: “Given the growth of the business over the last few years and plans for further investment to drive growth going forward, the Board has been reviewing the opportunities and challenges that the business has faced recently and will be presented with going forward.

“As a result of this review we have decided to strengthen the Board with the appointment of a Technical Director. Mark has a wealth of technical and operational knowledge across the business, as well as a broader appreciation of our entire supply chain, which will be invaluable as we move forward. “
