Macphie Chairman presented with framed football strip - Macphie

Amateur football team, St Laurence, presented Macphie chairman Alastair Macphie with a framed strip to thank the business for their generous sponsorship.

Following an excellent 2015/16 season which included promotion from division 2 North and reaching the League Cup final, Paul Ferguson, St Laurence secretary and their new manager, David Easton, visited Alastair Macphie to present the strip and thank the charity committee for their ongoing support.

David Easton, who is also an employee at Macphie commented, “The ongoing sponsorship will be invested in training equipment to ensure the new management team have the necessary tools to continue the development of the club. We’re aiming to be competitive in the first division next season and reach another cup final.”

Macphie donates a percentage of annual profits to local charities every year and is committed to supporting the local community. The business has also recently made donations to other sports initiatives including Montrose Youth Football team and Johnshaven Athletics Club.
