1. In a machine bowl fitted with a paddle, add the egg and Chocolate Crème Cake Mix and beat for 1 minute on slow speed and 3 minutes on medium speed.

  2. Add the oil/margarine and water and mix for 1 minute on slow speed.

  3. Scrape down and mix for a further 3 minutes on slow speed. Deposit 800g batter into 8″ round cake tin.

  4. Bake at 180°C for 55-60 minutes.

  5. Once cool divide into three and layer with Macphie Chocolate Frosting. Mask the cake with Macphie Chocolate Frosting.

  6. To serve heat the Macphie Chocolate Sauce and pour over a slice.
