Halloween face biscuits - a seasonal idea from Macphie


  1. Place Macphie Shortbread Mix and softened butter into a machine bowl fitted with a paddle. Mix on slow speed until a stiff dough is formed.

  2. Roll the shortbread 5mm thick and cut into rounds.

  3. With a small piping nozzle cut holes from half of the shortbread for the eyes.

  4. Put the rounds on a lines baking tray and chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.

  5. Once chilled, bake in a preheated oven at 150°C for 20 minutes. Allow to cool and harden slightly before moving them gently onto a wire rack.

  6. To assemble, lay out all the biscuits without the holes, fill with the Macphie fru-ti o.t.t® Mixed Berry dessert topping and gently add the tops with the eyes cut out.

  7. Decorate with the Macphie 5th Avenue® Dark Chocolate icing to make nose slots and a zipper mouth!
