Recipe Ice cream cone cake
Ingredients
- Macphie Buttercream Frosting
- 3kg Macphie Celebration Cake Mix
- 300g vegetable oil
- 900g water
- Red, orange, green & blue food colouring
- Ice cream cones
Method
Make up the cake by adding the Macphie Celebration Cake Mix, 375g water and all the oil into a mixing bowl with a paddle.
Start the mix on slow for 30 seconds to incorporate ingredients. Mix for 4 mins on medium then add the rest of the water and mix on slow speed for 2 minutes.
Deposit into 8inch tins – 500g in each.
Bake at 170°C for 1 hour (or until baked)
Once baked and chilled, level off the top and sandwich with Macphie Buttercream Frosting.
Build up the layers and then completely coat with Macphie Buttercream Frosting.
Colour some Macphie Buttercream Frosting as desired and decorate with halved ice cream cones and the coloured frostings.
