Method

  1. Soften the butter.

  2. Add the butter, Macphie Shortbread Mix and cocoa powder into a mixing bowl attached with a paddle and slowly mix until a dough is formed, allow to rest for 2-3 minutes.

  3. Pin out to 5mm thick. Using X and O shape cutters, cut out the shapes evenly and place on a lined baking tray.

  4. Bake for 25 minutes at 150°C for 25-30 minutes.

  5. When cooled, fill with Macphie Vanilla Frosting or Reduced Sugar Rainbow Frosting Vanilla and sandwich together.
