Method

  1. Place the Macphie Lemon Sensation®, water and vegetable oil into a machine and blend for 1 minute on slow speed, scrape down and mix for a further 4 minutes on medium speed.

  2. Deposit 800g into 2 x 8inch cakes and bake at 180°C for 50-60 minutes.

  3. Once cooled, slice off the peaked top of the cake, and slice cake into layers.

  4. Spread a layer of Macphie Strawberry Frosting between each layer.

  5. Blend Macphie Vanilla Frosting and colouring into 3 shades of pink (or desired colour).  Pipe an even layer of pink frosting starting from the darkest shade at the bottom working up to the lightest. Using a straight edge skim around the edge of the cake to blend them all in together. Pipe the lightest shade of pink onto the top and pallet to smooth off top.

  6. Decorate as desired.
