Recipe Pistachio & honey layer cake
Ingredients
- 1kg Macphie Plain Crème Cake
- 200g Water
- 350g Egg
- 300g Vegetable oil
- 100g Honey
- 50g Pistachio paste
- 200g Macphie Vanilla frosting with 100g pistachio paste mixed through
- 50g Pistachios
Method
Using a machine bowl fitted with a paddle add the egg to the Macphie Plain Crème Cake Mix and mix for 3 minutes on medium speed using a paddle. Scrape down and add oil, water, honey and pistachio paste and mix for further 3 minutes on slow speed.
Deposit 800g batter into 8-inch round baking tray.
Bake at 160C (fan oven) for 55-60 minutes.
Once cool layer with Macphie Vanilla Frosting flavoured with pistachio paste and decorate with chopped pistachios.
