Recipe Rainbow cake
Ingredients
- 1kg Macphie Plain Crème Cake Mix
- 300g vegetable oil
- 200g water
- 350g egg
- Natural food colouring/ rainbow colours
- Macphie Vanilla Frosting with added colour
- Rainbow Sprinkles
Method
Using a machine bowl fitted with a paddle, add the egg to the Macphie Plain Crème Cake Mix and mix for 3 minutes on medium speed. Scrape down and add oil, water and mix for further 3 minutes on slow speed.
Divide the batter into six and add colours.
Deposit into 8-inch round baking trays.
Bake at 160°C (fan oven) for 20-25 minutes.
Once cool layer and mask with the Macphie Vanilla Frosting, coat the cake in rainbow-coloured sprinkles.
Alternatively colour the Macphie Vanilla Frosting with rainbow colours and mask the cake to match the inside.
