Recipe Semi Fredo Sandos
Ingredients
- Macphie Mactop® Extra
- 1kg Macphie Plain Crème Cake Mix
- Fresh Fruits
- 240g Cake margarine
- 300g Water
Method
Place the Macphie Madeira Cake Mix & Margarine into a machine bowl fitted with a paddle, mix for 1 minute on slow speed.
Add water and mix for 1 minute on slow speed, scrape down then mix for a further 4 minutes on middle speed.
Mix for a final minute on slow speed.
Deposit into a tray and level out.
Bake at 180⁰c for 40-50 minutes.
Once baked, cut the sponge using a cake band to 2cm in thickness.
Whip Macphie Mactop® Extra to 3 times its volume.
In a frame, spread out the Macphie Mactop® Extra evenly and place in the pre prepared fruit, cover with Macphie Mactop® Extra so it’s completely enrobed, level off the top and freeze.
Once frozen place the cut sponges on top and bottom, allow to freeze and cut to size.
Serve frozen
