Ingredients

  • Macphie Plant-based Taco Sauce
  • 1 x 200g sirloin steak
  • 6 small soft taco shells
  • Shredded lettuce
  • 100g grated mozzarella
  • Mustard cress
  • Pickled veg of your choice
  • 1 lime
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Method Makes 6 tacos

  1. Season your sirloin steak with salt and pepper, rub with olive oil and sear in a very hot pan on both sides for at least 1 minute each. Baste and cook to your liking, then put aside to rest.

  2. On a non-stick tray, make six rounds of grated mozzarella – about the same size as your taco shells. Bake at 200°C for about 10 minutes or until bubbly and brown.

  3. To assemble, gently heat your taco shells in your oven for 1 minute,  line them with your mozzarella tuiles and fold them into your taco stand. Load them with shredded lettuce then slice your steak and divide between the 6 shells.

  4. Drizzle generously with warmed Plant-based Taco Sauce them finish with mustard cress and pickled veg (carrot used).

  5. Serve with lime wedges.
