Recipe Strawberries & cream muffins
Ingredients
- 1kg Macphie Plain Crème Cake Mix
- 350g whole egg
- 300g vegetable oil or 240g cake margarine
- 200g water
- Macphie 5th Avenue® Strawberry Flavour Icing
- Macphie Vanilla Frosting
- Freeze-dried strawberries
- Macphie Mactop® Extra
- Macphie fru-ti o.t.t® Mixed Berry dessert topping
Method
In a machine bowl fitted with a paddle, add the egg and Plain Crème Cake Mix and beat for 1 minute on slow speed and 3 minutes on medium speed. Add the oil/margarine and water and mix for 1 minute on slow speed.
Scrape down and mix for a further 3 minutes on slow speed.Pipe into muffin cases and bake for approx. 30mins. Pipe into muffin cases and bake for approx. 30 mins at 180⁰C.
Once cooled hollow out slightly and inject with Macphie fru-ti o.t.t® Mixed Berry dessert topping. Pipe a small amount of whipped Macphie fru-ti o.t.t® Mixed Berry dessert topping into the centre.
Take some freeze-dried strawberries and fold through some Macphie Vanilla Frosting and pipe this as a rosette on top of the muffin.
Heat up Macphie 5th Avenue® Strawberry Flavour Icing to around 40⁰C and dip the muffin in to coat.
