Recipe Iced Cherry Bakewell slice
Ingredients
- 1000g Macphie Cherry Bakewell Sensations®
- 350g cold water
- 250g vegetable oil
- Sweet paste
- Black cherry jam/pie filling
- Macphie 5th Avenue® White Icing
Method
Add Macphie Cherry Bakewell Sensation®, water and oil into a machine bowl fitted with a beater.
Mix on a slow speed for 1 minute.
Scrape down and continue mixing for a further 4 minutes on a medium speed.
Line a 7” x 12” baking tray with sweet paste.
Spread thinly with black cherry jam/pie filling.
Deposit 600g of Macphie Cherry Bakewell Sensations® batter and spread evenly.
Bake at 180°F (360°F) for 40 – 45 minutes.
Once cooled finish with Macphie 5th Avenue® White Icing and portion to size required.
