As we celebrate 50 years at our base in rural Aberdeenshire, we’ve pledged £50,000 to good causes as a gesture of gratitude to the communities which have helped our family-owned firm grow into a major industry player since we moved to Glenbervie, near Stonehaven in the seventies.
Of course, we are no stranger to giving back to the community. At Macphie, we’re committed to supporting the people and places around us. That’s why we commit to distribute one percent of our profit to local charities and community groups every year. Last year alone we donated over £31,000 to over 100 causes such as local youth football teams, events in the area and supporting the committees behind local golf courses, green spaces and play parks.
How can we help?
Financial support: We can offer financial donations and raffle prizes to support your fundraising efforts. Let us know how much you are trying to raise, what for, and how.
Volunteering: Our employees are encouraged to take up to two days a year out of the business to volunteer for a local charity or project. If you need a few extra pairs of hands for a project you’re involved in, let us know how our people could help.
Cakes and bakes: If you’re planning a coffee morning or bake sale, our bakers can help to top up your stand with a donation of sweet treats. Please note that we are an ingredients manufacturer and we’re not routinely making up “finished product” so successful requests are based on the availability of our testing and development bakeries. Please note: Our bakers require at least three weeks notice to prepare cakes/bakes.
Product: We make an array of ingredients including dessert toppings and savoury sauces. Let us know if our products could be of use to your community group or fundraising efforts.
