Macphie has been shortlisted for two awards in The Herald Scottish Family Business Awards 2023.
For more than a decade, The Herald Scottish Family Business Awards, in association with Business Gateway, have been celebrating the achievements of family enterprises across the length and breadth of the country.
Macphie have been shortlisted for both the Commitment to the Community award and Scottish Family Business of the Year (Large) awards.
As a family-owned business, embedded within our local communities, we play an active role by acting not just as a business, but as a supportive neighbour to those living and working around us.
Each year, a percentage of our profit is donated to charity and local causes, meaning that community relations always run deep at Macphie. In addition, every employee can take the equivalent of two days’ paid leave to volunteer for local projects/causes, and by partnering up with FareShare, we have been able to redirect surplus food to those who need it.
Furthermore, Macphie works with local schools to bring employability skills to life, support the national curriculum, and help to inspire careers in the food industry.
Our commitment to care includes our surrounding environment. Our approach, our processes, and our thinking have always been based on the principles of sustainability. We want to make a positive impact on both our local and wider environment, both now and in the future.

The winner will be revealed at the annual awards ceremony, which takes place on Thursday 7th of December at DoubleTree by Hilton in Glasgow.
