- 200g Chocolate 'soil’ (see notes for how to make)
- Macphie Shortbread Mix
- Macphie Rainbow Frosting Vanilla

Method
In a machine bowl fitted with a paddle, add 250g soft, unsalted butter to 1kg of Brownie Mix. Beat for 1 minute on slow. Add 400g water and beat for 1 minute on medium. Deposit the mix into a lined baking tray and place in a preheated oven at 175°C for 25-30 minutes.
To make chocolate soil – Put 100g caster sugar in a medium sized saucepan, add in 2 tablespoons of cold water and put on a medium heat. Give the pan a gentle swirl don’t splash sugar crystals on the side of the pan.
Turn the heat to high and leave it to do its thing don’t stir! The sugar will dissolve and bubble and boil until you see the centre of the sugar is still clear, and the edges have changed to golden brown, have 75g of dark chocolate roughly chopped and ready. Remove pan from the heat and whisk in the chocolate, along with any flavouring you plan to use. Make sure you whisk around the edges.
Whisk until all the chocolate is coated, this doesn’t take long until it starts to look like “soil“. Pour it onto a non-stick mat to cool. When cooled, spread the Macphie Rainbow Frosting Chocolate all over the top of the brownie, followed by the chocolate soil.
Make gravestones using Macphie Shortbread Mix and push into the soil.
Use Macphie Rainbow Frosting Vanilla to pipe ghosts. Add orange food colouring to Macphie Rainbow Frosting Vanilla and pipe pumpkins.
Mix red food colouring with the Macphie 5th Avenue® White Icing to use to decorate the gravestones. Add green colouring to Macphie 5th Avenue® White Icing and use to create green grass.
