Method

  1. Place the Macphie Madeira Cake Mix & margarine into a machine bowl fitted with a paddle, mix for 1 minute on slow speed.

  2. Add the water and mix for 1 minute on slow speed, scrape down. Mix for a further 4 minutes on middle speed. Mix for a final minute on slow speed.

  3. Deposit the mix evenly across two savarin moulds and bake at 180°C for 40-50 minutes.

  4. One cooked, turn out on a wire rack and leave to cool. Once cooled, fill with Macphie Strawberry Frosting and sandwich together.

  5. Flood with warmed Macphie Strawberry Frosting and sprinkle with coloured sugar strands.
