Method

  1. For each of the cake layers in turn, place the ingredients into a bowl fitted with a paddle, beat for 1 minute on slow speed, scrape down. Beat for 6 minutes on middle speed. Deposit into trays as required. Bake at 180°C for 45-50 minutes.
  2. Once the sponges are cool slice them using a harp, so they are evenly cut. 
  3. Place a layer of chocolate sponge on the bottom of the tray, followed by a layer of Macphie Rainbow Frosting Vanilla.
  4. As each layer is added gently press down ensuring even layers area achieved. 
  5. Place a layer of Macphie Mississippi Toffee Muffin & Cake Mix followed by Macphie Luxury Salted Caramel Filling. Finally place a layer of Macphie Mississippi Muffin & Cake Mix followed by Macphie Rainbow Frosting Chocolate.
  6. Once set & cold, top with dark & coloured glaçage.
