Recipe Scottish flag cake
Ingredients
- 3000g Macphie Plain Crème Cake Mix
- 1050g egg
- 900g vegetable oil
- 600g water
- Macphie Mactop® Traditional
- Macphie fru-ti o.t.t® Mixed Berry dessert topping
- Fresh blueberries
Method
In a machine bowl fitted with a paddle, add the egg and Macphie Plain Crème Cake Mix and beat for 1 minute on slow speed and a further 3 minutes on medium speed.
Add the vegetable oil and water and mix for a further 1 minute on slow speed. Scrape down and mix for a further 3 minutes on slow speed.
Deposit into a tray and bake at 160⁰C for 35 minutes.
Once cool, trim and divide the sheet into two 18×15 inch sheets.
Spread a layer of Macphie fru-ti o.t.t® Mixed Berry dessert topping on the bottom layer, followed by whipped Macphie Mactop® Traditional.
Put the second layer on top and cover with whipped Macphie Mactop® Traditional.
Decorate with fresh blueberries to create a saltire.
