Upside down toffee apple cake



  1. Place the Macphie Apple & Cinnamon Sensation®, water & oil in a mixing bowl fitted with a beater. Mix on a slow speed for 1 minute, scrape down. Mix for a further 4 minutes on middle speed.

  2. Make a caramel with the caster sugar and pour into a lined cake tin making sure the bottom is completely covered. Leave to cool

  3. Arrange your sliced apple on top of the set caramel followed by the cake batter mix.

  4. Cook for 40 minutes at 170°C.

  5. Whip Macphie Plant-based Cream Alternative and quenelle.

  6. Allow to cool a little, whilst still warm gently turn the cake out onto a plate.

  7. Brush and serve with warmed Macphie Toffee Sauce.
