Black forest patisserie - Macphie

Method Makes 2-4 portions

  1. Place the Macphie Mississippi Chocolate Muffin & Cake Mix into a mixing bowl fitted with a paddle and beat on slow speed, gradually add the liquids for 1 minute, scrape down.  Mix on middle speed for 6 minutes and slow speed for a final minute.  Place into a preheated oven at 180°C and bake for 55-60 minutes.  Leave to cool.

  2. Freeze Macphie fru-ti o.t.t® Mixed Berry dessert topping in a thin tray.

  3. Melt the dark chocolate with 250ml of Macphie Mactop® Extra.

  4. Whip 500g Macphie Mactop® Extra and fold through the melted chocolate.  Half fill a silicon mould with chocolate mousse, place a pre-sliced frozen piece of Macphie fru-ti o.t.t® Mixed Berry dessert topping into the mousse and cover with additional mousse.

  5. Cut out the sponge to required size and push down on top, smooth off the edges and freeze.  Once fully frozen, remove from the mould.  Glaze and decorate as required.
